Dave's response to Helen reminded me of an exchange I overheard at Alison's Restaurant in Kennebunkport years ago (when I lived in Cape Porpoise).

Asked by some tourists what we did here in the winter, the waitress put her hand on her cocked hip, looked 'em in the eye, and said, "Well, in the summer we fish & f**k. And in the winter, you can't fish."
