Whew! It was over so fast. But then we did go to well after 2:00. It sure was a fine evening and EJ put up a bunch of good eats. It sure was good to see Bill, Allen and WyoWoman. A big surprise was seeing BlueJay. He couldn't get enough of the South Colorado stop so he came up with the wandering minstrels. My guitar player showed up (his name is Steve) but not the banjo player. So we had a tough time playing some good bluegrass for Bill. No matter, he picked up the five stringer himself and did a fine job. What a guy, handy on the guitar and banjo too. Then there's the melodion. He was playing jigs left and right on the mando and we were following as best we could. Seeing as we weren't following too well with jigs from his homeland he started in with some american jigs. He knows a bunch of material. Sure liked Allens songs. Some from around the world. Loved WyoWoman's singing and fine yodeling. And BlueJay's songs and 12string playing. We need to get the Colorado bunch together again for some more of this. EJ was fine on the harmonica and singing along. Didn't know you knew that Civil War song EJ. It was over too soon. I got home and laid down for two hours. Then it was up and go to work. That made for a long day but I survived. I sure wish I could do like BlueJay and go North for another session. Good luck to our travellers. Hope everyone has a great time up in Wyoming.
