Admit that "the Scots are fit and ready to run their own affairs", of course they are, they've been running the United Kingdom's for long enough - Only problem is Akenaton 80% of the "Scots" as you define them have indicated fairly clearly that they don't want to.

The other trouble is that you for some reason see and think of "Capitalism" as a political system - It's not - that was also the same misconception that the Communists had of it.
