Well, I've watched the man on TV, and he seems to be able to do what he says he can do. But that doesn't translate into knowing what is 'natural' for canines in general, and wild ones for sure. I've seen wolves at the wildlife park exhibiting those behaviours he says aren't natural.
I know a couple who have a very handsome springer spaniel (I think - short haired long eared red and white spaniel). It's a very well behaved dog, extremely obedient, trained within an inch of its life. They are very proud of it. But that dog, in my estimation, has no personality to speak of. It doesn't seek affection. It doesn't exhibit any interest in new people, doesn't come over to sniff your hand, tolerates being petted but doesn't seem to enjoy it or dislike it. The dog's like a robot.
