There is not great secret to training dogs. The main requirement is, you have to know more than the dog! Then, you reinforce good behavior, and you discourage bad behavior. For example; if a dog is a jumper, turn your back and ignore him/her. All it wants is your attention and if you turn your back he/she is not getting what he/she wants and will modify his/her behavior.
