You have to remember that there are a lot of people out there who will be interested in what Ms Hilton says and does, otherwise her recent exploits would not have warranted a place on the serious news programmes. She's also one of those whose face can sell a goodly number of those checkout magazines, which means that there is probably more interest, amongst a certain section of the population, as there is in any politician.

That section of the population generally have the VOTE. If they see one of their icons up there and mixing it with a political candidate what's the betting that they might decide to use that vote against the person who used their idol, in what could be seen as a derogatory manner, in his advert?
