Thread Name: BS: Life 'To do' lists
Subject: RE: BS: Life 'To do' lists
I coincidentally started looking at sites online a couple weeks ago on the topic of life goals. I was looking for what people choose to do that gives meaning and purpose to their life after 50.. the things that would be on an epitaph or in a eulogy.
I found for the most part, people were making lists of things like losing weight and going on vacation to such and such a place in the world. Not that travel isn't a great life experience, but in looking back at your life from your death bed, I was searching for what give people a great sense of accomplishment in their life, what was on the "to do" list that left a positive legacy.
I've pretty much accomplished the goals I had when I was younger, becoming an artist and creating a body of work that I'm satisfied with, raising a son to be a good person, learning singing technique to use my voice the best I can, having my own little Irish band and performing, helping other people, helping to improve the world's natural environment with jobs and appointments I've held. I was searching the 'net for people over 50 and their life goals. I've already traveled a lot, so I am looking at what I want to achieve that will be more of a humanitarian goal.
