Thread Name: BS: Life 'To do' lists
Subject: RE: BS: Life 'To do' lists
As someone with A.D.D., bucket lists are meaningless. Daily 'to-do' lists often end up being in several versions, all possibly having one thing crossed off on good days. Having one for my whole life seems immensely more futile.
I have retroactive lists: things I wish I'd done differently, things I wish had worked, things I missed. I KNOW this is stupid and hopeless, but I still beat myself up over small things.
I want the people I love to know I love them. I want to feel like I matter to people I care about but if I find I dont, I want it to hurt less. I want to be inspired sometimes, to laugh sometimes, to feel safe sometimes and help others feel these things.
Long term goals? HA! Things I want to do get set aside and forgotten as the moments pass. Things I want to BE, not so much.
