Haven't been for 3 years so don't know when the bunting was last used on The Esplanade but was sadly absent this year. Have heard through the grapevine that East Devon Distric Council still have it but refuse to hang it up because it might be - you've guessed it - a potential health & safety hazard! The insane bureaucrats have definitely taken over the world. Anyhow, have made my feelings known to the Sidmouth Tourist Office and Festival.

The firewoks were good though and it was great to see some international dance groups back again (Provence/Latvia).

All things considered, it was a very enjoyable Festival but there does still need to be more dancing along The Esplanade apart from the Sunday which is good.
