If you are only dream, I dare not wake
And lose this vision. Should I seek to find
If you have muse's power? Could it make
Dreams real, to write of what is in my mind?
Those silken curls cascade around your face:
How can I not want to such riches touch?
Yet, I dare not approach, nor can I trace
Your lips: I know even hopes are too much.
I wait, to see you laugh, and I desire
More than I tell: You are Beauty, beyond
Reach of my dreams, or heart. Still, you inspire
A longing: I could of your smile be fond.
Can I hope that you continue to share
Your laugh, and smile, that I might some dreams dare?
