Subject: Lyr Add: JINGLE IN MY JEANS (Sean Blackburn)
A lively western swing tune that deserves to be better known:
JINGLE IN MY JEANS Sean Blackburn
1. A cowboy goes to town and spends his money 'round Whenever he gets that jingle in his jeans. He'll never learn to save; he's gonna squander to his grave Whenever he gets that jingle in his jeans. When that jingle starts to jangle, I'd dance like a Bojangle, Buy the rounds, and wind up feelin' just a little bit mean in the mornin'. I always go to town and spend my money 'round, Whenever I get that jingle in my jeans.
2. REPEAT, SUBSTITUTING THESE FOR LINES 5-6: When there's money in my pocket, I take off like a rocket For the nearest bar, and spend it foolishly, until it's gone.
3. REPEAT, SUBSTITUTING THESE FOR LINES 5-6: It's into town we ramble, and we shoot the dice and gamble, But we never stop till our money's gone.
[As recorded by Sean Blackburn and Liz Masterson on "Swing with the Music" (1991).
