Having had a rummage round the Ferrograph I am heartbroken to say that it is a very fine 722 - I have not tested it yet - from 1972 when it cost over £360 which was a LOT then.
I am heartbroken because the 722 is half-track stereo - which makes it no use at all for playing my 1/4-track tapes.
I have offered it back to the donor or told her I will ebay it for her favourite charity. After I've tested it and got ready and listed it I will put the ebay link up here for any enthusiasts to follow.
I am told it had new pinchwheels not long ago.
I will have to get my AKAI 4000DS mended in stead.
