I've been making a point of catching the re-run of Tony Palmer's 17-part documentary "All You Need Is Love, originally shown on BBC tv in 1979 and now being re-run on More4 on late Fridays. Last week's edition was dedicated to the blues, and had a wealth of (now) historic archive clips. Too many names to mention here except to note some great footage of Victoria Spivey, slightly pissed (I think), playing and singing "Black Snake Blues", and flirting with the cameraman and the producer. Wonderful! Anyone else on to this series?
