I started on a "Rent-To- Own" Gibson LG-1. My parents never would have bought it on the chance that I might stick with it, but when I did stick with it, their rental payments applied to the purchase. That was in '64 and I still play that guitar. Making good instruments easily available is good for everybody except the sellers of $97.00 student instruments.
