This business about people believing what they see in the movies is true - where else would we get the "posh" English stereotype? I can assure you that the typical English villain does NOT have a posh accent - nor even does the typical English non-villain. The posh thing is a hangover from the 30s/40s/50s when only well connected people (generally) could get into the movies.But it is encouraging that whatever distorted view we get can be easily corrected by reading the follow-up on the Mudcat!
