Yes. 'Worldly' is a catch-all term the Amish use to label something they consider morally oblivious with the potential of harming the spiritual development of its people.
And 'yankee' is an English translation of a dialectical word the Amish use to denote someone not Amish and also not one of the Plain Peoples. The word the Amish use is 'hocher' which literally translates as 'higher' (not to be confused with the notion that the Amish consider said person to be superior! *g*).
I never heard the term 'yankee' used until after I left home. Away from home, perhaps because we were not in a large enclave of similar people, we always said 'non-Amish'.
