Anyone who would deface a historic sign to correct a couple of spelling errors would probably find your Internet posts so offensive that bodily harm wouldn't be outside the question. Considering that one of the perpetrators is from Virginia, I would strongly suggest an inquiry with the local constabulary regarding some sort of restraining order.
