Thread Name: Bill & Allan's Mudcat Adventure Part III
Subject: RE: Bill & Allan's Mudcat Adventure Part III
I will post more later...just starting to recover from a bad drug reaction which just happened to coincide with THE VISIT. Bill & Allan, being the grand gentlemen they are, as well as Mimosa, carried on with gracious aplomb, filling me with awe and gratitude at the wonder they brought to my home and heart. While about all I could do was sit and grin from ear to ear, they brought good will, fantastic music, deep understanding, and abiding friendship to all who heard them. Made me just burst with joy at the world class concert etc, which it was my privilege to host.

Sorcha and her family were just great. Thanks to Cait for all of her gracious assistance and some damn fine spoon tapping, to Sorcha for the great fiddling and to Brian for my very first tipper! Made a bohdran out of my native american drum and had my first lesson from Brian!

I love that twinkle in Bill's eyes and the lovely, lovely way he has of saying things, plus his voice and mastery of the instruments, oh gawd, if I'd a willing horse or *summat*, I'd a followed him and Allan just about anywhere! And, to hear Allan sing a love song, well....watch yer hearts, wimmin, cause he's out to steal every one of them!

Mimosa is a treasure to have met and heard...a wonderfully trained voice, presence, and gorgeous hapr playing...whenever he opened his mouth and graced us with a song, I closed my eyes and could just *see* the Great Hall of some castle, filled with bardic voices....and his little dog was a perfect gentleman.

Couldn't have done any of this without my sister, Bet, and Rog...they did most everything and I am grateful and proud, esp. of the way Rog piped the session into a HearMe. The technology just astounds me...here we were in our little living room, cats and dogs and kids and instruments and these incredible musicians from so far away, making music and sharing it with several others through this incredible medium.

Alice, has got it right when she talks about the aloneness out here. I spent a great deal of timing marveling at what brought such an event to pass. Now that it has come and gone, I still marvel, but mostly I give thanks for such an incredible, lifetime experience and hope for another with more of you someday.

Allan and Bill, to your germ of a thought come to life and the good hearts you sent before you and the lingering friendship you left behind, my deepest thank you's.
