I think people concluded that the problem was with AVG. A new program was issued but it had a flaw.

The AVG folks sent out a correction, but depending on what you have on your computer, you need to either uninstall the older version and download and install the new one, or go in and update the newer AVG version with the fix that they issued that corrects the connectivity problem.

And it isn't confusing for this blonde/blond! Just something you have to work through. FWIW, I use free-AVG and my Windows updates are all up to date, and I didn't have this problem. But I think it's because I updated to the newer AVG after the patch was available.
