On the Hoo peninsular

Aaarrrgh! Stap me vitals! as they might say in an adjacent thread.

"Peninsular" is an adjective. The noun is "peninsula".

I like the road signs that say things like "Use both lanes for junction 32". I think they mean use either lane- or else they are encouraging drivers to straddle the markings.

Not to mention the roadworks signs: "Delays possible until February 2009". I silently pray that my delay will be somewhat shorter.
