I agree that the USA election is a globally important issue, as it impacts many countries.

In most counties election media coverage is a couple of months, at the most. Daily (and detailed) media reporting stretched over the two year (plus) US election/selection campaign is tiring. I submit it represents lazy journalism and reduces media resources to focus on other important issues, (many also of Global importance).

Extensive coverage of every aspect of the currrent selection convention (aka coronation) for a Democratic canidate... one who is already chosen... is completely non-news (I suspect he will accept the nomination).   

Seems to me more like PR for the canidate than news. (Should anyone be surprised that democrats support democrats, and given an audience, will speak highly of their canidate, at least in public view)?
