I suspect most Mudcatters won't have seen the Harry Enfield TV series in which one running sketch gag had these friendly Amesterdam "Polities" (dutch word for "police") sitting in their car beaming benevolently at the world around them and explaining how they keep things on an even keel... I think it might have been a trailer for a docu-soap.
