This is a standard size dreadnaught sized acoustic guitar, purchased in Feb 2004, made in Korea. Solid mahogany back and sides; the top is quilted maple laminate, I think (because there is a small flaw on mine, and I can see different wood underneath the quilted maple). Rosewood fretboard and bridge. Abalone around the soundhole, nice tight tuners that stay in tune. Neck is thin, which I like. This is an absolutely beautiful guitar. I purchased it off ebay; no extras included. I bought a case separately.

Sound : 7
The sound on this guitar is very nice. Absolutely knocks out the competition for the price I got it. I like to fingerpick a lot, though, and I think I would be happier with a little bit mellower sound. I wouldn't say it's bright, though, just not mellow. High's are nice, but sometimes I get a little buzz on the high e string about 7th fret up. I switch from fingerpicking to strumming quite a bit, and it really does sound pretty whatever I do. You can get a lot of volume with it. Overall, nice sound. 7, because ratings are relative, I think, and doesn't match the top notch guitars I've tried. But 10, for it's pricerange.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
This guitar was set up perfectly, as far as I know. It did have a couple of flaws in the wood (which is probably why I got it so cheap). There is a flaw in the quilted maple, as I mentioned. Also there is a patch of discolored wood on the base of the neck. Nothing that affects the sound, though.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I think it seems pretty solid. I walk around the house while I'm playing; I've banged it into doors, walls, etc. Still in tact. I don't really do any live playing, so don't have much to say about that. The finish seems like it will last a long time.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't had to deal with them. I think they are located in Korea, though, so I don't think I'd even want to try.

I've been playing guitar for about 2 years now;I'm fairly new to this. I started out playing on a very icky wal-mart guitar, so when I got this one it seemed like heaven. Since then, I've tried out friend's guitars--ovation, ibanez, art&lutherie, harmony, taylor, etc. I really like this guitar, and so far haven't found anything that would make me want to drop a thousand bucks more. If I lost this guitar, I might get a blueridge. But I would recommend this guitar. It's great for the price. Great backup if you need one.
