I am curious if the new policy of "no pet left behind" was implemented. People do care about their pets, and it was heartbreaking that so many had to be left behind in Katrina's wake.

It seems likely this given the morning reports that flooding while threatening will be relatively minor compared to Katrina, at least in New Orleans.
