Not exactly a GOOD movie - but far better than I was expecting was "The Invasion" with Nicole Kidman. It's an updated version of "The Invasion of the Body Snatchers".

Also on another thread I've pointed out that the TV miniseries "Lonesome Dove" has been rereleased in a widescreen version.
