Actually, I think I was looking for personal recommendations, but I suppose that would be invidious if they are all really good.

I wouldn't want to drive miles to find somewhere like a club I went to elsewhere where I had to pass an interrogation on entry.

What clubs have you been to?   My college club about 30 years ago. NUT do's more recently.

What groups played there?   I can't remember, it was about 30 years ago.

But they might still be playing. I have been doing other things and not keeping tabs. It was the 60's, I don't remember the 60's. I used to sing there, and someone recently commented that he remembered me doing so and complimented me on it.

We only have floor singers we know, except in August. Pity, I'm away in August. (The notice in the public library said floor singers welcome - didn't refer to that.)

They did have very very good visiting singers, and very skilled instrumentalists from their own ranks. Also parents from the school I taught at in the audience. Not much audience participation. I stopped going when we were Ofstedded the first time and didn't feel like going back after.
