Bob, I'm curious to know what kind of paint you plan on using. It is my experience that the durability of painted plywood floors is none too high, especially in high traffic areas. Are you considering something along the lines of an epoxy paint? I suppose that covering the painted surface with a few coats of urethane would help too.
