Right now it is pretty simple. I don't usually look into the "processing" or total memory usage of a browser. I have a decent PC and broadband, so I can use any browser I choose...and I choose based on features & ease of use.
(I use Opera a lot because it has many keyboard shortcuts that others do not.)

Chrome right now is fairly simple and small, and it might be fine for someone with non-'fancy' tastes.. ☺

The ony way to tell is to install it and play with it.

If you really want small, but with features, you might like the K-Meleon browser.
