Folkies (mostly) don't:-

wear baseball caps at a variety of angles.(in UK, anyway)

say "wickid, innit?"

type in "William and Mary" in Google and expect to find details of some daft TV programme.

although perhaps possessing a mobile phone, don't shout their personal business down it while apparently suffering from a strain of glaucoma which causes them to walk in a straight line barging obliviously through all obstacles in their path.

listen to "twitch" music on an MP3 player, or take a serious interest in "Big Brother" .

Consider that they are experiencing "normality" when they are at a Folk Festival and think they have been slapped very hard with a cold towel when stopping at a motorway service station on the way back.
