Tom Hall of Portsmouth and Nottingham, NH has been singing the Lloyd version of "The Diamond" for almost 40 years. Most recently Friday evenings at The Press Room in Portsmouth.

BTW, there's a bit of controversy over whether Lloyd actually wrote the song, but introduced it as traditional. He sometimes introduced songs collected from "old timers" who conveniently died before anyone else could get to them.
No matter what its origins, it's a great song.
