Sandy, though there's little hope of it happening, I would like to see the NDP and Greens merge. May has to some extent turned the Greens aside from the fanaticism they were beginning to show with their former leadership. The NDP has fallen far from its roots in many ways, particularly in their ability to understand rural Canada, and even in their relationship with labour. Alexa, whom I greatly admire for many reasons, nonetheless failed with rural Nova Scotians, and it was a local joke that the first federal NDP election sign was posted at the entrance to Dartmouth.
