Subject: RE: BS: It's Christmas ! Sep 7th
I have an idea. Either we should shove all this crap into ONE day each year -- say Midsummer's Day, for example, and celebrate Love, Jesus, Mom, Dad, Thanks, Independence, Liberty, Labor, and dead soldioers all on the same day in one fell swoop. OR we should sprinkle bits of them across 356 days a year, so EVERY day is full of love, Jesus, remembering dead soldiers, hugs for moms and dads, thanks and so on ad nauseam.

The disadvantages to solution #1 are that we would spend a huge amount of money on one day every year, offset by the savings throughout the rest of the year. Logistics would be warped around that one day. But we'd get it over with and be able to do something meaningful or useful with the time saved.

The disadvantage of the second method is no-one would get much done before around 11 AM, because it would take them that long to say good morning at the office--maybe we could just use one word to mean "All the good stuff". Perhaps we could steal "Kwanzaa", since very few people know what it means anyway.
