Since 1982, September 21st has been officially recognised by the UN as International Peace Day. This year September 21st falls on a Sunday and various events have been arranged worldwide.

For anyone living near Merseyside, England, the local CND is organising an afternoon called Peace in the Park, which will take place between 2pm and 5pm at Vale Park, magazine Parade, Egremont.

Green Blade, which is a loose aggregate of singers to which I belong, have been asked to perform and we will be doing a half hour stint of peace songs. Other attractions include music, poetry, dance, a speaker from Landmine Clearance, and a jazz band (hopefully). The event is free and all are welcome.
