When I was in Ireland, I kind of chameleoned into the accent by osmosis, and was soon asked if I were a Plastic Biddy. I had never heard the term, and it was explained to me that a plastic paddy(male)/biddy(female) was an Irish person who had gone abroad and was now back, having probably lost their brogue to some extent (since after being in Ireland for a while they stopped asking me and just assumed I was local).
