You should get many more mp3's on a CD than WAVS.

Sue I wouldn't try to email the 3 large files - I suspect they would go nowhere fast unless you and your recepient have very big mailboxes! Is there anyway of finding out what compression rate 'moderate' is in the software you are using?

As mentioned earlier you should be able to go down to 128kps without noticing significan difference

Try comprssing them on a lower rate and see what they sound like. Compression mainly takes out the bits of the sound we cannot hear but obviously the greater the compression the more quality you lose
