All things considered, the kitchen is looking pretty good, and the sun room is navigable. I'm taking my son to a sold-out lecture on campus tonight so it might not be until the weekend that I get much more done. On my to-do list is the summing up of donations from August and starting the new list for September. I'm keeping on top of those pretty well this year, and it will help get a better tax refund. One hopes. The year isn't over yet.

Anyway, two weekends ago it was Hurricane Gustav that was supposed to batter us, but we had heavy humidity and overcast instead, no rain (here, anyway). Ike is taking a bead on us now, and seems to be more determined to go over the top of us. Another weekend potentially washed out.
