I've only experienced being in one hurricane and that was enough. Hurricane Carla in the 1950's which wiped out Cameron, Louisiana. We lived in Beaumont, TX at the time and were far enough inland so that we only had wind and rain but it was enough. God help those folks who refused to evacuate.
