Go to http://www.symantec.com and let their system scan your computer, if they still have that service available. They may be able to offer a remedy. If they don't scan, then search by name and see if they offer a downloadable remedy or again, maybe they'll scan remotely and clobber it.

Also you can look at places like http://www.cnet.com or PCworld, etc. for reviews of antivirus software and removers. Do you have something in use like AVG? You could download it and let it scan. AVG (used to be called Grisoft).
