Subject: RE: Music: Ceilidhs in Herefordshire (UK)
The little church on the estate is in need of financial help. Now considering this church is owned by the diocese i suppose, and sits on an MP's land I don't know why they are appealing for money. Anyway as this is the little hamlet where I grew up I'd like to use this reason to put on some ceilidhs to add to their fund raising.

Some locals tried to put on a ceilidh for tonight but unfortunately the farm's barn, in which it was to be held, burnt down this week so the dance had to be cancelled. Actually they didn't sell any tickets. I think this was because the dance was to start at 7.30 and finish at 10.30. There was to be a hog roast and some summer punch. The ticket price was... £15!!!

So the question i'm asking the Herefordian Mudcatters is, if I put on a few ceilidhs would you come? They'll be in the local Aymestrey village hall, near Leominster, and the ticket price will probably be £5. What do you think? We've got some great bands in the area and there will be some impromptu singing as well. After expenses have been paid, the profits will go to underpin and reroof the church.
