It could be argued that the difference between the number of "popular views" of MCain and Obama are a little exaggerated, as in order to get a more accurate picture you might need to deduct the "unpopular views" of Obama and Palin first.

Perhaps the fairest thing to do would be to create "unpopular views of Obama/Palin" threads and transfer any such posts across.

Then you can compare the remainders.
