Just think, when McCain wins, and then resigns a day before his term ends, Palin gets to be the first woman president. And run as the incumbent... Good for two terms, afetr McCain's one term. So, 12 more years of Republican Presidents, and Democratic Congresses. That should be enough to keep ANY major changes, one way or the other, limited to ones that both sides want.
