It's actually a room full of chimpanzees at Penn State who have been typing madly on word processors 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

They were put there several years ago by scientific researchers intent on seeing if the old adage about "if you put a bunch of chimps on typewriters they would eventually reproduce all the works of Shakespeare" is correct...

Sadly, it isn't.
