SDS (and any others who might have the same questions), when you get to the first Hearme screen, if you look about halfway down the page under the 'Join' button, you'll notice an Options line with the selection 'Embed Text' checked. If you uncheck that box before entering the song circle, you'll be able to have a separate box, which can be resized, for the text chat. Although it won't stop the problem of text bouncing back to the bottom when you're scrolling upward and someone sends a comment, if you make the box long enough and wide enough, you'll have quite a bit of the recent 'sends' on your screen anyway. I generally make mine about half the screen wide and the full vertical length, with the directory, Jon's 'Lock' button and my volume control lined up at the left of the screen.
