I bought my house three years ago. It has steadily decreased in value, yet I pay the same property tax. Even if it had gone up in value, what good is that unless I sell? All I get is an INCREASE in property tax, and I would have to buy another on the same inflated market. I see no way to win here.

I also live on a pension, and in spite of the rising cost of living, I still get the same amount each month while the buying power steadily drops.
Am I better off than I was 8 years ago? Are you shitting me?
