I had a tough act to follow this weekend, hence the yard work and compost pile beautification. The neighbors on each side and one across the street ALL had house or yard projects going on. They paid people to do them. One is putting in smooth concrete floors over existing then putting down some kind of fancy hardwood flooring over that. On the other side, she re-did some beautiful gardens around the house and planted good xeriscape plants including one I've looked for for years, weeping Yaupon. They're never in anything under about 15 gallon pots and cost the moon. Across the street they put in a new fence.

I cleared more garden, but mostly I hauled wood chips in compost, free from the city. Sometimes it really is compost, but this was mostly chipped limbs from city parks, and that is actually what I preferred. It will kind of thatch itself over the top of the messy compost I've built up since last spring. I set a sprinkler on top this evening and am letting it soak in and start kind of packing down the new stuff. The idea is that the messy grassy berm I'm building now looks organized with compost over the top 50% or so.

More listed on eBay, but it seems to have slowed. Anyone else notice that? Fewer watchers, fewer sales, on mine, anyway. I'll diversify my listings some and see what is selling.
