After A lovely sunny weekend when I was out and about a bit, I decided that as I had to wait in today for a delivery, I would start again on the garden.

So of course it's raining. Not showers that you can work between, but different degrees of spitting and drizzling. However, it has given me the chance to crank up the steamer, and tackle the remaining woodchip paper in the "decorating project" (aka the Ruth's old room), and get up the mountains of old powdered rubber powder from the 30 year old shag pile carpet that used to be down in there. This afternoon I will be taking what's left of the old flat-pack furniture to the tip. I was going to reuse it, but the wardrobe wouldn't come to pieces without breaking up, and the drawers and bedside tables have started to creak rather alarmingly! I will source some more suitable stuff. The local YMCA shop specialises in furniture, so I will pop into there and see what they've got.
