I met a woman in Kentucky who didn't fool with dehydrators--she prepared her fruit, laid it out on baking sheets--then put it in the back window of her automobile. Worked very well and quite fast, especially in the summer.

Maryanne, I wouldn't have had to send a bunch of branches to the trash this morning if I had a chipper. Does your shredder do branches up to an inch or two? I envy you that resource--such good mulch!
