I mean simply being able to make progress without being cowed or bullied by reactionary obstructionists anxious to preserve the corporatocracy and keep their featherbeds.
It's about time this insane state of affairs was replaced with some kind of fiscal responsibility and attention to the business of governance, instead of just governing for the sake of business. That the majority of Republicans (at least as they appear through the public channels) seem to not understand the difference is one of the fatal flaws that has corrupted and pollutesd the nation for the last eight years and before. This nation has always done best when we thought things through with intelligence and courage and acted out of decency and human respect. We have seen very little intelligence coming out of the Administrastion for eight years, and we have seen obstinacy take the place of courage, a disregard for human decency, and a trampling of human respect.
