Wondered where you've been, Peter. Glad to see your TFTD threads, again.

We don't have as easy access, here, in Colorado, to autumn leaves as we did in Wyoming, other than the more common valley trees: cottonwoods, poplars, mountain ash, and a few others. Some folks have coaxed aspen to grow down here, but to really see their beauty, in their large clusters, one has to drive an hour or two up into the mountains. A beautiful trip, it just takes a weekend day which means chores and errands miss out. But, of course it IS worth it!

When we moved to New England, the kids and I couldn't believe how big the leaves were, esp. the maple leaves. I still have a photo album I put together for my mom which is filled with preserved, huge maple leaves in beautiful scarlets, yellows, and ambers.
