There is a simple organic answer to mildew. Get a bottle (or how ever much you need) of straight hydrogen peroxide (the strength in the bottles in the grocery store is 3%) and spray it directly on, no dilution or additives. Give the plant a good coat. This is a recent discovery in organic gardening circles, and is much better than some of the previous treatments like baking soda or the potassium version of it.

Yesterday I picked up a couple of $4 pots of Swiss chard at Home Depot--I think it was intended for ornamental use, like kale, they had put in several colors of it in the same 1 gallon pot. It's up 8 to 12 inches, a good size to separate out, then put it in a couple of places where it will grow nicely this fall (for the dinner table!) and hopefully over-winter.

Re-listed the non-selling eBay shirt. I raised the price but added free shipping and have calculated it so my original sales price is down a dollar after shipping calculated. Good thing it can be stuffed into a Priority Mail flat rate envelope.
